HOT OR NOT 🔥❄️ (D.Reed)

What’s Hot🔥

QB
Eli Manning (New Orleans @ NYG)
Much like Derek Carr Last week, it is now Eli Manning who ends up with a tasty matchup this week. With a plethora of pass catchers at his disposal, mixed in with the Saints porous secondary, you have the makings of a wonderful fantasy day for Eli and company!!!

Matthew Stafford (Detroit vs Tennessee)
No Calvin Johnson??!! No problem!!! Many feared that Stafford would flop this year without his recently retired, future Hall of Fame WR, Megatron. But Stafford gashed the Colts secondary to the tune of 3 TDs, zero interceptions, and 340 yds passing!! Seeing how this is a home game, and Stafford is usually pretty good at home, I see this matchup being similar to his week 1 numbers.

RB
C.J. Anderson (Indianapolis @ Denver)
Anderson dazzled in his week one matchup against a brutal Carolina defense, running for 92 yds and TD and adding another score through the air on 4 catches!!! Anderson was heavily involved in the offense, that was rolling on all cylinders, and did more than hold his own in this Super Bowl rematch. Now he draws a matchup made in heaven against a poor Colts run defense!!! It looks like C.J. is shaping up to be the RB we expected him to be in his 2015 campaign!!!!

Ezekiel Elliot (Dallas @ Washington)
“Zeke” called his first career game against the New York Giants an “average” one. Elliot rushed for 51 yds and a score in week one, but I expect his matchup with Washington to be anything but average. Washington was gashed by DeAngelo Williams Monday night for 143 rushing yds and 2 scores!!!! With Washington playing off a short week and battling that great Cowboys offensive line, I see one heck of a game in the works for Elliot!!!!

WR
Kelvin Benjamin (San Francisco @ Carolina)
Last week I had Benjamin on my “Whats Not” list and. . .BOY WAS I WRONG!!!! The “big fella” had no problems giving the “No Fly Zone” fits as he caught 6 balls for 92 yds and a TD on a whopping 12 targets!!!! With his size and high target volume, I see Benjamin giving any opposing defense problems. If he could best one of the league’s top secondaries, what do you think he’ll do at home versus San Fran???

Jordan Matthews (Philadelphia @ Chicago)
I love Matthews this week for the same reason I like Kelvin Benjamin and that’s volume!!! J-Matt was targeted a ridiculous 14 times and turned that into 7 catches, 114 yds, and a score!!! He seems to be the clear first option in the passing game for rookie Carson Wentz so I can definitely see stellar performances in the near future for Matthews!! And with Philly drawing a very suspect Chicago defense this week, that stellar performance may come sooner rather than later.

TE
Travis Kelce (Kansas City @ Houston)
The 6 foot 6 TE, with great speed, seems to be a matchup problem for anyone who dares to contain him,  especially for Houston in particular! In the last two meetings against Houston, Kelce combined for 14 grabs, 234 yards, and two scores. I think that alone is enough reason to give Kelce the nod at your TE slot!!!

D/ST
Carolina (vs San Franciso)
San Francisco was able to move the ball quite well against the Los Angeles Rams Monday night, but it’s safe to say that won’t be the case this week!! I smell trouble for the 49’ers on the road against Luke Kuechly and company as Carolina’s defense is definitely among  “the crème de la crème”!!!

What’s Not❄️

QB
Ryan Tannehill (Miami @ New England)
Tannehill could have ended up with a better stat line last week against a tough Seattle Seahawk defense if it wasn’t for Kenny “Butterfingers” Stills dropping a sure “would be” touchdown!!! I can see this week ending up much worse for Tannehill as he travels to Foxborough to face the Patriots where he hasn’t played particularly well. In 4 career games there, Tannehill has just 3 TDs and 7 interceptions!!!! I see a rocky road for Tannehill this week!!!

RB
Frank Gore (Indianapolis @ Denver)
Denver’s defense held Jonathan Stewart in check last week for a measly 64 yards rushing!! I think Gore is in for a similar outing against a very stout defense!!! I don’t expect too much out of Gore besides warming my bench if I own him. Play at your own risk!!!

WR
T.Y. Hilton (Indianapolis @ Denver)
Looks like Hilton has a date with both Aqib Talib and Chris Harris this week!! That should draw some caution seeing how they’re the best CB tandem in the league!! In my opinion, Hilton is no more than a flex play on the road against the suffocating secondary!!

TE
Jimmy Graham (Seattle @ Los Angeles)
What ever happened to the Jimmy Graham that once wreaked havoc on all that came in his path?? He’s been working his way back from a knee injury trying to rekindle his old ways to when he was Drew Brees’ go-to guy in New Orleans. Only being involved in 17 plays in week one, I don’t see the old Jimmy returning to true form anytime soon.

D/ST
Minnesota (@ Green Bay)
Defensively, the Vikings played impressively against Marcus Marriota and the Titans, but this week they’ve got a tough matchup against one of the leagues best in Aaron Rodgers!!! Don’t get me wrong, I like the Vikings D, but I rarely bet against Rodgers, who’s known for lighting up defenses like the end of December!!!
